Goodbye 2010!! I can NOT believe that 2010 is already over! Time just flies by faster and faster. We had overall a very good year, a year that really put things into perspective. We are so thankful for our family and friends that were and are so supportive. Although I think of myself as an optimist, this year really helped solidify my desire to always find the positive in any situation.
We were lucky to have Brian’s mom and stepdad come visit us in November as they always do, and spend Thanksgiving with us. They also were kind
crazy enough to watch the kids so we could have a weekend away in sunny Los Angeles with my sister, Joan and her fiancee, Jay. It was great to recharge!
After the kids got out of school for Christmas vacation, we headed to Disney World for 4 days. Everyone had a really fun time and it was also great to get back home, because we got to adopt our second pound puppy right after Christmas. Fergie joined us on the 27th, and I would have to say was the best Christmas present. She is 6 months old and was a stray, and is a complete lover. Her and Irene are getting along really well, playing lots, and sleeping through the night like good kids.
Brian and Tyler had a bit of guy time on the 28th and went to the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando and got to sit right in the end zone, courtesy of Wounded Warrior Project. They had a great time and each left with a big bag of fun stuff.
Brian left for another deployment on the 30th, and will be gone for 4 months. We were not expecting this one, so needless to say it was tough to have to say goodbye after he had only been home for 2 months. But, in my quest to always see the positive, I will be thankful that he is only gone for 4 months, and not 6 months or a year. There are so many families that have to say goodbye even more often and for longer periods of time than we do. As busy as the kids keep me, 4 months will have come and gone before I know it. Brian would love to get letters, mail really brightens his day, so get in touch with me for his address!!
We love you all, and hope you have a wonderful 2011!!
