Emma FINALLY got to celebrate her 3rd birthday! We had decided before Brian deployed that we would celebrate when he gets back … he makes the kids cakes … and, she’s 3 … she really doesn’t understand what day is actually her birthday yet. We like to celebrate as a family, and tend to keep birthdays very low key. We had a few of our closest friends over and had dinner, cake, and presents. We got Emma her first big girl bike, and she was SUPER excited about the WATER BOTTLE on the front!! HA! It was a nice evening.
Brian is doing pretty well. We have a meeting this week with the vascular surgeon to have a Greenfield Filter taken out next week. It was put in an artery and helps prevent blood clots. He is going to physical therapy 3 times a week, and next week after his filter is taken out, our appointments should really taper off, and life should begin to return to somewhat normal. He is planning on starting back to work maybe this week, a couple hours at a time.
The girls finish school this week, with Sophie’s PreK graduation on Wednesday and their end of the year program on Friday. I can’t believe it’s flown by so quickly! Tyler has 3 weeks left of 7th grade … one more year and HIGH SCHOOL! Wow. That’s all I can say. Wow. Where does time go?
We hope you all are doing well, enjoying spring … it’s officially getting HOT and humid here, although nothing yet really, compared to what it’s going to be. At least Brian will be out of the back brace before the real heat hits us!! As always, sending our love and thanks for all of your support!! Jackie, Brian, and the kids
